In Greek mythology, Cerberus is a three headed dog who guards the underworld or Hades. He is the child of Typhon and Echidna. His job was to allow the spirits of those deceased into Hades, but to never let them out.
Many of the heroes face crossroads with decisions. Hercules had to choose between saving the girl or the world.
